Plop! Plop! Plop! The sound of stalactites falling in the water.

Theo sat in his boat in the eerie cave, the vibrations of the cascading stalactites merging with the soothing sweep of water crashing against the granite walls. Terror filled his chest as he witnessed the cave's mouth, his sole exit, had inexplicably been sealed by an underwater landslide.

An eerie breeze began to murmur through the cavern's dark corners as the stalactites continued to crash in the glowing water. It seemed to Theo that the cave was giving him a helping hand, leading him across the maze of darkness.

Using his intuition, Theo touched the surface till his fingertips swept against a jagged rock - a hidden crevice tiny enough for him to pass through. He held his breath as he paddled his boat along the unknown route, the murmurs of the wind and the crashing of the waves growing louder, pulling him further in the heart of the cave.

The cave appeared to react to this every move as he reached the concealed tunnels. The air shifted and the soft glowing water guided him onward. After what seemed like forever, Theo entered a hidden chamber illuminated by a soothing azure radiance. The cave opened up a fresh secret - a passageway leading to a pristine refuge.

Theo could hear the faint whisper of wind and rush of water urging him to move. Theo caught his breath as he unveiled the new location. The concealed chamber provided a peace from the outside world and for Theo's thoughts to flow freely. He sat on a smooth rock listening to the gentle waves as Theo felt a sense of calmness with each plop of the faraway stalactite.

As Theo realized that the cave known as Blue Grotto had formerly served as Emperor Tiberius' personal swimming hole, had now become an haven for him during the crisis, gratitude filled every inch of his body and he made a promise to keep the whispers and secret of the Blue Grotto alive.
